Well ... maybe some things could be improved.

With Gallente ships you want (1) good drone skills, (2) good hybrid gun skills and (3) armor tanking/armor repairing skills. The issue of range is not as important as you think. You can go in really close with blasters, if you armor tank well, and do lots and lots of damage. But you can also use the other hybrid turret, the railgun, which has longer range (less damage) than blasters, if you prefer the ranged attack. Either way, you have to use drones more effectively to succeed really as a Gallente ship pilot ... they're a key weapon but you have to use them right. If you don't use drones effectively, you're limiting your effectiveness as a Gallente ship pilot because several of the better Gallente ships are specificially designed to have large numbers of drones as a weapon. And, don't worry so much about your shields ... as a Gallente ship pilot you should focus on armor defense, rather than shields bc Gallente shields are rather weak to begin with.
Quote: 3. In 0.5 sec zones, not many frigates are hunting for cash and yet I can do it all day long safely. Will this come to an end someday?
What will happen is that the cash won't keep up with your cash needs as you advance to larger ships and more expensive skills and modules.
Quote: 4. Also, if drones are so awesome, why do they get all banged up when I send them into action? Do things change when I have 20 drones instead of just one?
What you need to do is make sure thath you have aggro on you before you deploy the drones. Make sure the enemy has you targeted and is attacking you, then send the drones ... that way they don't get attacked as much. Skill up your drone skills to maximize the number of drones you can have in space and the size of your drones. Try to have larger numbers of medium sized drones, for example. If you can deploy, say, 5 medium sized hammerhead drones after you are being attacked they will slice through the enemy very quickly.
Quote: 5. If I choose the wrong skill now, will I run out of skill points later and gimp my character?
No, you can always change your skill training. It's best to try to focus your training a bit, but otherwise no "mistakes" are irreperable. All it means is that if you wish to pursue a different path later you will have to take the time to skill that path.
